UV Water Disinfection Systems
UV systems expose flowing water to ultraviolet light for disinfection. Effective treatment depends on a suitable validated system, the flow rate and the water's ability to transmit UV light.
Selection and operation
Particles and fouling can reduce performance. UV does not remove dissolved salts and does not leave a disinfectant residual in storage or downstream pipework. Lamp condition, sleeve cleaning and any intensity monitoring should be maintained according to the equipment instructions.
